What are these racks?

The modular high-storage racks are large in size to withstand potential impacts from forklift trucks. In addition, an increased number of pallets can be stored in each compartment.
When are high-rise racks used?
The development of technology has made it possible to create racks for high-rise storage of things, even reaching more than 40 meters. Obviously, such high-rise structures require the use of a certain type of handling equipment. Racks that do not exceed 14 meters can be used with 3-way stackers, and large storage racks must be serviced by stacker cranes controlled by automated systems.
Installation of high-rise shelving is a profitable solution if you want to optimize the area of the room. Using this type of shelving allows you to increase storage capacity in a limited space. It is also worth noting that this solution provides direct access to each pallet. In existing warehouses, the racking height limits will of course be determined by the size of the warehouse. But when such a structure has not yet been built, you can design it in such a way that the required number of high-rise storage racks can fit inside it, which will meet the needs.
In some cases, it is advisable to choose self-supporting systems, popular in warehouses with heights exceeding 15 meters. But what exactly are such constructions? Self-supporting warehouses are distinguished by the fact that the storage racks placed in them form part of the structural system of the building, including the wall cladding and the roof. Such warehouses can support their own weight, warehouse structural elements, as well as the goods stored on them.
